Spring Tea Pot
Ten Ren's Spring Tea Pot is made from red clay and fired at a higher temperature for high quality and is ideal for serving semi-fermented teas such as Oolong, King's, Pouchong, and Ti Kuan Yin. This tea pot is about 5 inches (12.5 cm) in length, 3.25 inches (8.5 cm) in width, and 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) in height. It holds about 5.5 fluid ounces (163 ml) and comes in an attractive satin lined box. This tea pot is part of a series of season tea pots along with the Summer Tea Pot, Autumn Tea Pot and Winter Tea Pot.
This teapot has an inner convex sieve which helps to prevent tea leaves from blocking the flow of the tea through the spout. Yixing tea pots such as this one have a special characteristic. With repeated usage, this pot will acquire its own unique flavor and increased luster and coloring that contributes to the enjoyment of tea.
