Gift Puerh Tea Cake
Ten Fu's Gift Puerh Tea Cake is comprised of Pu-Erh leaves taken and pressed into the shape of a small cake with the TenFu logo imprinted on one side and a mayflower on the other. Tea cakes were popular in the Song Dynasty and commonly used in cooking. After being brewed, one can enjoy the mildly sweet and earthy aroma and view its deep brown color. The drinking experience is highlighted by its mild roasted flavor and gently mellow aftertaste.
This Puerh cake is shrink wrapped and enclosed in a decorative box.In order to break a piece off the Gift Puerh Tea Cake for tea, we recommend that it be wrapped in a towel and a hammer carefully used to smash it into pieces.
To enjoy, break off a small piece and place in boiling water at approximately 200-212°F/95-100°C for steeping. Use 0.1-0.2 ounces (3-6 grams) of Pu-Erh tea of every 1-1.5 cups (150-300ml) of water. Steep for about 2-3 minutes or until desired concentration is used.
