Description
This green tea has a special blossoming or blooming characteristic. Each blossom is comprised of fine quality green tea hand assembled and sewn together with marigold petals and, osmanthus flowers, a flower famous for its aroma. When steeped, the green tea leaves gradually blossom, revealing the marigold and osmanthus petals floating to the surface. The flowers resemble a swirling cloud of osmanthus. The tea has a yellow hue with a pleasant light floral aroma. The taste is smooth with a lightly floral aftertaste. A glass teapot or cup is highly recommended for full appreciation of this tea.
The water used to steep this tea should be about 170-180°F or 76-82°C to prevent scalding the leaves. Use about one sphere for about every 5 ounces (150 ml) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes is recommended with more or less time depending on the desired concentration. This tea may be infused 2 times.
