Golden Gourd Mug with Infuser

This Gourd tea mug is from one of China's famous painters, Qi Baishi (1863-1957). The painting of a gourd represents continuous good fortune. This mug with an infuser is ideal for enjoying unfermented or lightly fermented teas such as Green, White, Pouchong, Jasmine, Dragonwell, Maofeng, and Pi Lo Chun without oversteeping them. Made of ceramic, the white background allows full appreciation of the tea leaves as they steep in the infuser. The mug, which holds around 9.5 oz (290 mL) is accompanied by a lid and infuser, both made of white ceramic. The lid can be inverted and used as a dish to hold the infuser and its steeped leaves.

To use this mug, place the infuser in the mug and spoon tea leaves into the infuser. Pour water over the leaves and cover with lid to allow steeping. After 3 to 5 minutes, remove the lid and infuser to enjoy a good cup of tea. Tea leaves may be steeped multiple times. Shipping weight is 1.11 lbs. Temporarily out of stock.
